Studio class for art students and others interested in portraiture using pastels. Explores various pastel painting techniques. Successful completers will be able to capture a good likeness with realistic color. Fulfills prerequisite to ART 3420. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Draw portraiture at the introductory level. 2. Understand and apply various shapes to construct accurate proportions of the human face. 3. Accurately place facial features from various directions and angles. 4.
