Spans human origins and early civilizations to the emergence of European Empires and the early explorations of the Americas up to 1500 C.E. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Analyze the political, economic, cultural and social developments in world history from the establishments of early civilizations to 1500 C.E. 2. Explain long-term and large-scale historical change. 3. Compare and contrast the interaction among salient civilizations. 4. Evaluate the causes and effects of particular historical events. 5. Improve their written and oral communication skills through an article report and class discussions. 6. Read and analyze primary and secondary sources. FA
