Description:
Private string instruction for music majors. Participation in departmental recitals and a final jury examination are required. 50-minute lesson and one-hour performance class per week. Student must pass jury exam to progress to next level of private instruction. Repeatable up to 2 credits subject to graduation restrictions. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Perform with applicable technical proficiency. 2. Perform with appropriate artistry and interpretation. 3. Demonstrate musical literacy through relevant style and performance practices. 4. Sight read music as assigned by the instructor. Course fee required. Prerequisite: Instructor permission. FA, SP
