Description:
Public performance of a solo recital consisting of 30-40 minutes of music. Details of the appropriate repertoire selection and length of the program must be approved by the Music Department. Includes musical and extra-musical preparation. Successful completion prepares students to perform publicly in a solo capacity. Completion of Piano Proficiency is required before enrolling. Students must enroll in 3000-level private applied lessons as a co-requisite for this course. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Present a solo recital. 2. Select, prepare, and present appropriate literature. 3. Demonstrate knowledge of non-musical aspects of concertizing. Prerequisite: Instructor permission. FA, SP
