For non-science majors. This course is designed for students whose major does not require the more mathematically intensive CHEM 1210 or CHEM 1220 courses. First of a two-semester sequence. Progression is made from the basic tenets of general chemistry through an introduction to organic chemistry, with topics being presented in order of practical importance and sophistication. Prerequisite/Restriction: Math ACT score of at least 23, or MATH 1050 or higher; or corequisite of MATH 1050 . Semester(s) Traditionally Offered: Fall, Spring
