Provides a more in-depth study of American Sign Language, Deaf folklore and literature, and the grammatical structure of ASL. Focuses on unique number systems, idioms, lexicalized fingerspelling, and ASL poetry. Course taught with a total immersion approach, with ample opportunities for practice with fluent users of ASL in the lab. Prerequisite: COMD 3010 or instructor approval. (F, Sp, Su)
