Cause, prediction, avoidance, and frequency of natural disasters, including earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, landslides, floods, subsidence, meteorite impacts, and global changes. Topics discussed in the context of earth systems and cycles. Three lectures per week. Prerequisite: One Breadth Physical Sciences (BPS) course.
