Description:
Introduces instruction in theory practical application and pathogenesis of clinical microbiology. Covers the collection, setup, identification, susceptibility testing, and reporting procedures. Laboratory exercises will include emphasis on the identification of clinically significant microorganisms. Students will participate in Standard Microbiological testing including the culture, staining and antibiotic testing of various organisms. Prerequisite/Restriction: Admission to the MLT program or permission of instructor. Campus: USU-CEU only
