This course covers methods of teaching swimming and lifesaving. It presents knowledge and skills necessary for lifeguard functions. Prerequisite/Restriction: Student must be able to do the following: Tread water for two minutes Swim 500 yards in each of the following strokes: Side Stroke Breast Stroke Back Crawl Stroke A qualifications test based on the above criteria will be given before the first day of class.
