Description:
Introduces students to responsibilities of river guiding and to learn the skills necessary to become an apprentice river guide. Safety and environmental considerations will be emphasized. Students need to be in good physical condition. History, river ethics and environmental considerations will also be taught. Safety protocols will be learned and adherence is mandatory. Students must be good swimmers. Field trips will be taken and lab fees assessed to rent equipment and travel.
