Prerequisite(s): University Advanced Standing. For elementary and early childhood education majors and other interested students or community members. Introduces concepts and techniques necessary to teach art education to children in the primary grades through middle school. Applies the four disciplines of aesthetics, art criticism, art history, and art production in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and crafts. Includes classroom and materials management, and age appropriate curriculum development within contemporary practices.. Course Lab fee of $26 for materials applies.
