Prerequisite(s): Students need equivalent knowledge of CHIN 2010. Emphasizes increased communicative ability as well as grammatical accuracy; adds more complex, literary grammatical structures, as well as discussion of contemporary cultural and political themes. Includes reading of basic 1000 characters and writing of basic 450-600 characters. Uses diglot weave (mixture of English and Chinese) and character-romanization mix to ease learning of characters.. Lab access fee of $12 applies.
