Covers topics of social change, history, political science, culture including literature, art, cinema, economy including commerce, and business culture. Offers insights into Chinese life in the past and today. Defines terminology involved, studies evolution and/or specific texts or contexts, and considers theoretical discourse. Provides additional materials in Chinese for students who want more language practice, e.g., in the Chinese Language minor. May be repeated for a maximum of 9 credits toward graduation.
