Provides students an in-depth exploration of specialized dance forms outside of traditional course offerings, with an emphasis on World Dance forms such as Polynesian, Classical Indian, Argentine Tango, Capoeira, Balinese and Tibetan Folk Dance. Focuses on learning specific dance forms through active participation. Includes integration of theoretical, historical and social concepts which deepen the student's understanding of the context in which the dance form was practiced historically and is practiced today. May be repeated for a total of 6 credits towards graduation. Course fee of $80 for guest choreographers applies.
