Corequisite(s): ESFF 1210. Discusses the history and background of the fire service. Teaches terms, definitions, and concepts of NFPA 1001 Professional Qualifications for Firefighters Level I. Includes fire behavior, ventilation rescue, forcible entry, ladders, ropes and knots, self-contained breathing apparatus, firestreams, fire hose, salvage, overhaul, fire suppression techniques, communications, fire sprinklers, and fire inspection.. Course fee of $20 for state services & testing applies.
