Prerequisite(s): NURS 2300, NURS 2310. Corequisite(s): NURS 2410. Introduces the aging process and changes with aging. Identifies special needs of older adults and nursing interventions to meet those needs. Prepares students to meet the needs of the increasing elderly population including caring for patients with chronic illnesses and end-of-life concerns. Includes a service learning component requiring visits to a community setting with active seniors.
