Prerequisite(s): (MAT 1010 or higher mathematics course), PETE 3100, and University Advanced Standing. Corequisite(s): PETE 4200. Examines the need for valid assessment in K-12 physical education programs. Introduces a variety of assessment instruments. Analyzes the use of assessment to enhance learning and reliably determine student progress toward stated objectives. Promotes the development of a meaningful grading system that communicates student progress toward course objectives and SHAPE America standards.
