Examines the cultural, social and political movements developed from roughly 1880-1999 and considers the main figures who embody these movements. Focuses on individuals who exemplify cultural achievements in their given field or sphere of influence. Requires a research paper that focuses on an individual who contributed to the 20th century cultural milieu. Taught in English.
