Description:
Through a survey of Graeco-Roman mythology, students will gain a familiarity with the major myths of creation, the Olympian gods, and heroes. This survey will include consideration of how mythic narratives manifested in the daily lives of the ancient Greeks and Romans, in addition to how these narratives have been adopted and adapted by our own culture. Students will learn how to read literature and archaeological materials to study myth and gain practical knowledge of major theories of mythology. This course is taught in English.
