This course is designed for dance majors to develop a somatic and wellness practice to keep them healthy as dancers. Course content can include (but is not limited to) physical conditioning, introduction to somatic practices, wellness and mindfulness practices, yoga, and Pilates, among other techniques. The course integrates practical applications of physical conditioning, wellness, mindfulness, and somatic awareness to dance technique. Prerequisites: Full Major or Minor Status in Modern Dance OR Department Consent.
