An introduction to the ancient Greek language; a continuation of GREEK 1010. Students will expand their knowledge of vocabulary and sentence structure, and develop their reading comprehension of adapted and original texts. Successful completion of this course will provide students with the ability to read and comprehend simple passages in ancient Greek with the aid of a dictionary and grammar, as well as prepare them to continue into Greek 2010 and begin reading authentic, ancient Greek texts ranging from Homer's epics to the New Testament. Recommended Prerequisite: GREEK 1010.
