Description:
This course introduces you to topics in database theory and design. Topics progress from conceptual modeling using entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) to logical modeling where data tables are normalized and keys defined to the creation of the tables and the querying of the data using structured query language (SQL). SQL topics covered include aggregates, embedded queries, and joins. Prerequisites: 'C-' or better in (IS 3060 OR IS 3061 OR IS 4410 OR IS 4411) AND (Full Major or Minor status in Information Systems OR Full Major status in Operations Management OR Full Major status in QAMO OR Full Minor status in Business Analytics)
