Description:
Course introduces students to classic theories in ethical philosophy, then applies ethical theories to contemporary dilemmas in health and health care delivery. Topics include reproductive choices, end-of-life decisions, distributive justice in health care, medical research, and the burgeoning world of genetic manipulation. Students will engage in a semester-long case study and report the results of their research to the class. Prerequisite: LEAP 1100.
