THEA 2161 is an undergraduate-level studio drawing class. Each class will consist of an in-class demonstration and will be followed by an in-class project using the techniques of the demonstration. The finished projects will be due at the beginning of the following class. Approximately fifteen in-class projects will be assigned. Additionally each student will be required to keep an out-of-class sketch diary. The primary emphasis of this class is to become familiar and proficient with different studio art materials and the techniques of using them. The final application of these techniques and materials is to be able to create quick evocative sketches in color and black and white.
