Students explore individual artistic pursuits and methodologies to further skills in the ceramic medium. Students will demonstrate and apply their learning by creating a body of work investigating a range of advanced technical processes and conceptual approaches in hand-building and wheel throwing. Students learn clay mixing and principles of kiln firing. This class is designed to begin the development of individual artistic pursuits and methodologies and to further skills in the ceramic medium. Emphasis will be placed on content and ideas in combination with advanced technical processes in hand-building and wheel throwing.
