Description:
A study of the most widely used herbal preparations for use in maintaining health and treating disease. Modern use, contraindications, side effects and drug interactions will be studied. Students will also learn how to make some extractions and preparations from plant materials. This course is especially useful for students interested in careers in Ethnobotany, Natural Medicine, Nursing and Medicine. Three hours of lecture per week.
