Description:
This course is designed for English teaching majors and minors. Students in the course will study a variety of literary works to better understand the ways that literature engages interest and promotes deep learning. Students in the course will study pedagogical practices that support the effective and equitable teaching of literature in diverse and inclusive classrooms. Students will develop curriculum that is aligned with the Utah State Core Standards and that is rationalized in current research.
