Designing plastic parts utilizing CAD and CAE technologies for the design and for structural, dimensional, and process evaluation and optimization. A strong emphasis in design principles related to design of plastics products. Also analysis of functional requirements, structural properties, aesthetic qualities and cost relationships. The student will gain experience in product design and material evaluation.
