Description:
Introduction to the sleep laboratory and the set-up, monitoring, and therapeutic interventions associated with polysomnography. Students will be oriented to patient interviewing and selection, OSHA standards, sleep laboratory standards, and confidentiality. Competency is demonstrated in patient set-up, producing a reliable PSG, recognizing artifact, and basic therapeutic interventions for common sleep disorders. Concurrent enrollment in REST 3503 and REST 3504.
