Students will be exposed to the factors involved in the economical production of beef cattle, including organization of the enterprise, selection of the breeds, and selection of the breading stock. Production factors such as feeding and handling on the range and in the feed lot will not be covered. Feeding and marketing of beef will be examined as it relates to the producer and the consumer.
