DHYG 2035 - Head/Neck Anatomy

Description:
The student will study the anatomy and physiology of the head and neck, including the bones, muscles, glandular tissue, innervation, blood supply, lymphatic drainage and temporomandibular joint. Emphasis is on location, function, nomenclature and clinical considerations of normal anatomy and variations. The course will include the anatomy of the most common local anesthetic injections and the anatomic spread of infection. This course requires a Differential Tuition Rate which is an additional fee of $215 charged per credit hour. Prerequisite: Admission to the Dixie State University Dental Hygiene program. FA
