Ethnic Studies 3730 is a three-hour service-learning class which is meant to support you academically and build upon the foundational concepts that were explored last semester in Ethic Studies 2500. In addition, the course content will engage students in assignments and exercise intended to assist in the transition from the first year of college to the second year. More specifically, the course is intended to enable students to: make connections between theory and practice by continuing to engage in a service learning experience with other students of color, and apply your understanding of concepts such as social justice, resistance, community assets, and marginality to your service learning experience and to the on-going public debate over educational (in)equity. Prerequisites: ETHNC 2500.
