This course is an introduction to the methods and practices of the discipline of History. It explores how historical knowledge is produced; prepares students to undertake their own historical research and writing; and equips them with the skills to evaluate the arguments of historians. This course is a prerequisite for History 4990 for History Academic Majors, History Teaching Majors and History Teaching Minors.
