Description:
This course examines the physical processes that drive deformation and a wide variety of the other geological phenomena, including processes and observations of heat transfer, the role of gravity in stress and strain, and the various different flavors of rock rheology. Observational metrics (including geochemistry, laboratory measurements, and geophysical measurements of rock properties) will also be covered.
