Microorganisms play a central role in maintaining the biosphere. In this course, the diversity of microbial lifestyles is introduced. Current examples and case studies used to demonstrate microbial actions in composting, waste water treatment, and bioremediation of pollutants in the environment. Prerequisite/Restriction: Completion of Breadth Life Sciences (BLS) University Studies requirement.
