This course introduces traditional approaches in applied mathematics, including dimensional analysis, the Buckingham Pi Theorem, perturbation methods and successive approximation to solutions of differential equations, singular perturbations and boundary layer problems, variational methods and the Euler-Lagrange equation, and Hamiltonian systems. Prerequisite/Restriction: 2210 with a C- or better 2250 or 2270/80 with a C- or better
