Prerequisite(s): CHIN 3050, University Advanced Standing. Presents selected topics in Chinese language and literacy (grammar, literacy, and culture). Covers topics such as " Practical Modern Chinese Grammar" or " Modern Chinese Literacy and Sentence Structure". Studies the main points in Modern Chinese language, literacy and their relations to Chinese society, history and culture. Projects and evaluation will vary according to the topic. May be repeated for a maximum of 9 credits toward graduation.
