Prerequisite(s): University Advanced Standing. Pre- or Corequisite(s): MUSC 1400. Provides hands-on opportunities in a recording studio. Examines the studio environment including: microphone types, polar patterns, stereo micing techniques, analog patchbay usage, microphone preamps and general studio procedures. Provides opportunities for students to record various student compositions and projects. Explores the Dante protocol and its usage in the studio. May be repeated for a maximum of 6 credits toward graduation.. Lab access fee of $85 for computers applies.. Software fee of $52 for computers applies.
