Through lectures, readings, discussions, and debates, this course offers students the opportunity to learn about the contested meanings of leadership and citizenship in America's Founding Era. Students will also practice good citizenship by putting the principles of the American Founding into action on-campus and/or in their local community through an independent, project-based community engagement activity.
