Prerequisite(s): Department Approval. For students whose native language is other than English. Expands use of statements, questions, and commands on familiar topics to academic conversations and lectures. Develops vocabulary on concrete and abstract topics. Studies low to high intermediate concepts of pronunciation, intonation, stress, and reductions. Includes weekly use of the UVU Language Lab where intermediate listening skills are emphasized and practiced.
