This course is designed to prepare students for the unique and specific nature of excerpt study and the taking of professional orchestra auditions, while gaining familiarity with the standard orchestral literature. The instructor will usually be a member of the Utah Symphony, with extensive experience both taking and listening to auditions. Prerequisite/Restriction: Restricted to music majors who have been admitted into the string program, or by instructor permission.
