This course provides an examination of administration and management skills tied to outdoor recreation agencies/businesses/organizations. Emphasis will be placed on site visits, services delivery, environmental impacts, legal issues, human resources and administration and management skills. Outdoor activities (backpacking/hiking/camping/ropes course leadership, and use of technology in leisure research and programming) will be explored in the context of program management and administration. Field trips are required.
