Topics will include the development of sport, institutions of sport, sport as a business, and socio-cultural concerns within American sports. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Discuss the cultural impact of sports on American identity. 2. Identify historical sporting evens that helped shape American society. 3.
