Students are introduced to knowledge about drugs and substance abuse. Substances are defined broadly including caffeine, nicotine, over-the-counter and prescription medication, alcohol, and drugs usually associated with misuse and dependency. Students discuss screening and assessment, and appropriate interventions. Prerequisites: SW 1010, SW 2100 SW 2400 Instructor permission is required
