This variable topics course focuses on themes manifest in the field of writing and in interdisciplinary studies. This course may focus on issues in writing, rhetoric, and other disciplines as they intersect with English. Students will learn the critical skills necessary to identify the intellectual currents in the texts under consideration, to engage in focused discussion, and to probe the various intentions of any text. It may be taken a total of 3 times (for a maximum of 9 credits) with different designations.
