This course is intended to introduce the student to the multiple patterns of knowing within nursing and the processes associated with the development of nursing knowledge and theory. These processes include the varied yet interdependent activities of critical reflection, validation, confirmation, and utilization of nursing knowledge. In addition, the student will explore the utilization of nursing theory and knowledge to his or her own experiences and everyday nursing practice.
