Students learn mathematical development of linear models theory for estimation, hypothesis testing, and confidence regions in multiple linear regression; least squares estimation; the Gauss-Markov Theorem; distribution theory for quadratic forms in normal variables; derivation of the F-test; and confidence procedures. Prerequisites: STAT 5100 with a C- or better MATH 5720 with a C- or better
