The first part will involve characterization of the reservoir from analysis of logs, geostatics, and simple modeling. The second part will involve detailed simulation based on the governing equations for flow in porous media, discretization methods, implicit and explicit solutions, matrix assembly and linear solvers, well models, single-phase flow, two-phase flow, three-phase flow, assembling a simulator, geological models and upscaling, commercial simulators, and examples.
