This course is designed to expand the student's knowledge base of the long term care continuum with a focus on the organization of and interaction with skilled nursing facilities. Students will learn about the roles and key components of the delivery system such as the regulatory environment, quality assurance performance improvement, person-centered care and advance care planning and be able to apply the main components in a variety of course activities.
