Description:
The course will synthesize traditional painting practices with contemporary digital and trans-media practices. It will introduce BFA painting majors to strategies and methods for the integration of both digital and analogue technologies into fine art visual research. The course will promote creative exploration with both the utilitarian and unique expressive possibilities of technological resources. This will include the major visual software programs. A strong emphasis will be placed on students' creative processes and the development of a personal portfolio showcasing this style of work. Prerequisites: Full Major status in BFA Studio Art OR "C-" or better in (ART 2201 AND ART 2202 AND ART 2203 AND ART 2204 AND ART 2205 AND ART 2206 AND ART 2207 AND ART 2208)
